I planned to create just one game for ladies party searchers, but true to form, I came up with a few.
When women get together, something incredible happens; itโs such an awesome vibe that goes way beyond just hanging out. Friends connect on a whole new level, swapping stories and thoughts, and who knows, they might just spark some lifelong friendships. In those moments, laughter fills the air, itโs all about being real and open, and you can really feel the sense of belonging. As they share their journeys and cheer each other on, they create memories that are not just treasured but also lay the groundwork for future meet-ups. The energy is contagious, making it a comfy space for growth, learning, and just pure joy.
Please ignore my faux pas: I am intentionally using the term game for ladies party without the apostrophe. I am aware that it should be “game for ladies’ party“, but I am working with an algorithm.
Just so you know, I have a book with tons of women’s activities. Be sure to check it out.ย
Also, this site is chock-full of games and many other resources you can use. Since this site is full of games and activities for women’s ministry, I wanted to ensure that I also create fun games for ladies’ groups at home.
So much fun happens in homes, and you need a game for a ladies’ party that will work with those smaller groups.
Okay, let’s get started with some FUN games for ladies groups.
Game 1: “Name That Bible Character: Song Edition”
Bible meets Billboard in this hilarious, thoughtful, and creative guessing game!
Objective:
Ladies describe (or hum!) a popular song that best represents the life or personality of a Bible characterโwithout saying the characterโs name. Their team must guess who it is!
How to Play:
- Divide into teams.
- One person draws a card (or is assigned a character + song).
- They give clues or sing a line from the song without mentioning the character’s name or the actual song title.
- The team has 60 seconds to guess the Bible character.
- Rotate to the next team.
- Keep scoreโor play just for fun!
Example Character & Song Pairings:
Visit GodsyGirl to learn about Zipporah, Abigail, and Achsa. Maybe you can add them to your game!
| Bible Character | Song | Why It Fits |
| David | โHallelujahโ (Leonard Cohen) | Poet, worshiper, king with flaws and a heart for God |
| Esther | โThis Girl is on Fireโ (Alicia Keys) | Bold, beautiful, brave queen who risked it all |
| Jonah | โShould I Stay or Should I Goโ (The Clash) | Ran from God, got redirected in a BIG way |
| Peter | โOops!… I Did It Againโ (Britney Spears) | Passionate but impulsive; denied Jesus, then restored |
| Mary (Mother of Jesus) | โMary, Did You Know?โ | The actual subject of this classic! |
| Ruth | โStand by Your Manโ (Tammy Wynette) | Loyal and devotedโfollowed Naomi and God |
| Martha | โWorkโ (Rihanna or old hymn โWeโll Work Till Jesus Comesโ) | Always busy preparing, missing the moment |
| Elijah | โBoulevard of Broken Dreamsโ (Green Day) | Felt alone after bold ministry moves |
| Samson | โStrongerโ (Kanye West) or โDelilahโ (Tom Jones) | Strong man with a tragic love story |
| Paul | โAmazing Graceโ | Transformed from persecutor to preacher |
| Sarah | โIโm Every Womanโ (Whitney Houston) | Waited years to be a momโfull of faith & emotion |
| Eve | โI Knew You Were Troubleโ (Taylor Swift) | First to eat the fruitโushered in the fall |
Optional rule variations for this game for ladies party:
- Silent Singing: Act out the song like charades.
- One Line Only: Just quote a lyricโno additional clues.
- Bonus Points: Teams can name the song AND the character.
Tip for Facilitators:
Print cards with each character and the song to prepare ahead of time. You can also let the playersย create their own pairingsย for extra fun and creativity.
“Itโs time to determine how well your friends utilize their sense of touch, which is awkward. Place various items in a single bowl. You can pick soft balls, unusual objects, slippery toys, or other strange items. Blindfolded participants will have to reach in and determine the item they have touched.”
I don’t have a pet because my husband is not a pet person.
So, I totally live vicariously through pet owners, just soaking up their cute antics and quirky moments as they share their pet tales with me.
I even have a doggie nephew named Jackson. haha
Anyway, I find myself endlessly scrolling through social media, glued to videos of hilarious pet anticsโfrom dogs trying to squeeze into the tiniest boxes to cats having freakouts over cucumbers.
Okay, enough about my pet envy.
I whipped up this game because I know pets can be super funny, and I wanted to bottle up that joy and humor so everyone can enjoy it, inviting players to dive into the fun and laughs that come from celebrating our furry buddies.

Game 2: โPet Parade Charadesโ
The objective of this game for ladies party:
Act out a pet doing something funny, common, or even wildโwhile other team members try to guess the pet and the action.
How to Play:
- Create Cards ahead of time with different pets + silly or typical behaviors. Examples:
- A cat knocking something off a counter
- A dog chasing its tail
- A hamster escaping its cage
- A goldfish reacting to food being sprinkled in the bowl
- A parrot mimicking someone arguing
- Divide the group into two or more teams.
- One player from a team picks a card and acts it out without talking or using propsโjust gestures.
- Set a timer for 30 seconds. If the team guesses it, they get a point!
- Bonus round: Combine two animals and two actions (e.g., โA parakeet doing yogaโ).
Materials:
- Pre-written cards with actions + pets
- Timer or phone
- Scoreboard or whiteboard Leader Tip: Have participants share funny pet stories after each round for extra bonding!
Game 3: โGuess My Childhood Gameโ
I was hesitant with this game because there would be so many games folks won’t recognize. Maybe because they are younger or older. But, then it dawned on me that is the fun of it! The fun will be learning about one another’s childhood games – especially those specific to cultures and parts of the country. For instance, when I grew up we had a game we’d sing called “Say Say my play mate.” Here is how it went:ย
Say, say, my playmate, come out and play with me, and bring your dollies three. Climb up my apple tree. Slide down my rainbow. Into the cellar door and we’ll friends for ever more more…shut the door!
Check this out! I Googled Say-Say to see if I was the only one who remembered it. I found this super cute video demonstrating, and she’s a Christian! Our version was a little different – but that might be the cultural element I mentioned before. Check out her site, Cornstrone Confessions for Homeschool families.
Okay, I digress. But, if you didn’t grow up with me or like me, “Say Say” would give you insight into who I am.
My only suggestion is to make sure people are told not to make judgmental comments that could hurt others’ feelings.
Here is the game for ladies party:
Objective:
Act out classic or vintage childhood games (without words), and let others guess what they are.
How to Play:
- Before the meeting, prepare a list or basket of childhood games from multiple decades.
Example game prompts:
- Jump rope / Double Dutch
- Hopscotch
- Red Light, Green Light
- Duck, Duck, Goose
- Four Square
- Jacks
- Freeze Tag
- Simon Says
- Hide and Seek
- Ring Around the Rosie
- Divide women into teams or go one at a time.
- The actress draws a game from the pile and acts out someone playing itโno words, sounds, or props.
- Set a 30-second timer. Team guesses? They score a point.
- For fun, after each correct guess, the facilitator asks:
โWho here played this as a kid?โ โ cue nostalgia and fun stories!
Materials for this game for ladies party:
- Slips of paper or cards with childhood games
- A container to draw from
- Timer
- Scoreboard
Optional Twist: Play “Generations Match-Up!” where older women team up with younger women to share how their childhood games differed or were the same.

Game 4: Make a Meme Game for Ladies Party
Iโve seen variations of this on social media. Someone will post a funny pic and say, โCaption this.โ The comments are often hilarious!
Here is what you do: you can select lots of funny photos from the web. Stock images are the safest. You can use a site like Pixabay.com.
The goal is for the group to match sayings with the photos to create a funny meme.
A few variations exist here. 1) You can type out some funny captions, or 2) you can allow the women to make up the captions organically. I recommend the second.
Whoever creates the funniest meme โwins.โ
How do you know who wins? The team of women can vote by applause, or you could select a judge (who did not play the game). Or, my favorite, no winners or losers โ just fun and giggles.
Game 5: โFind It, Friend!โ โ A Hilarious game for ladies party –Scavenger Hunt
The OBJECTIVE for this game for ladies party:
Ladies must quickly search the room, their purse, or even their car (if nearby) to find an object that fits a funny or unusual prompt. Then, they present or explain it to the groupโwith extra points for humor and creativity.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Print or prepare a list of hilarious prompts (see below).
- Assign a timer (30โ60 seconds) for each round.
- Read one prompt aloud.
- Participants race to find one item that best fits the description.
- When time is up, each person briefly explains why their item fits.
- Optional: Give out points, vote on the funniest, or just play for fun.
IDEAL MATERIALS:
- Timer or stopwatch
- Bell or buzzer
- Scoreboard or whiteboard (optional)
- Basket of small prizes (optional)
